Week 10 already! But we are well on track to developing two exciting pieces of Forum Theatre for our Community Event on the 11th and 12th of May.

Thank you to Nick and to Pinar for warming us all up nicely with some rhythmic marching/fighting and face-pulling! Then it was back into our two groups to think about adding a story to our images. Who is our protagonist and what do they want? Why do they not get this by the end of the scene? Are the audience going to want to change the situation?!

No Way Through

One group began to explore the power of authority over communities when they are fragmented with interesting images involving bureaucracy and the gradual dismantling and dilution of groups with common goals.

Valuing People?

The other group began to explore questions around diversity in the workplace and the difference between the language used to promote this and the difficulty of achieving this in practice.

Two really interesting stories are emerging, both rich in complexity and aesthetics – the perfect combination for Forum Theatre!
